Our four stage process:
Stage 1. A thorough cleaning is vital to the restoration of your roof. The roof is flushed using specialized equipment providing high volume, low pressure water to remove all organic debris, cleaning the cedar surface. All down spouts are removed prior to washing (temporarily attaching special piping to redirect the flow of water away from the house), skylights protected and outdoor equipment and delicate plants moved or covered.
Stage 2. Depending on the age and condition of your roof, a substantial amount of organic debris may be removed during the cleaning process. The house and surrounding landscape will be rinsed and tidied from any fallen debris and the down spouts reconnected.
Stage 3. Your roof is given a complete inspection. Loose shakes or ride caps are reattached or replaced. Weak shakes are strengthened with metal shims keeping your roof’s appearance clean and uniform.
Stage 4. After letting the roof dry for a few days, the restoration process continues. Any lost resins, pigments and critical protectants will be replaced by treating your roof with oil based TWP Heavy Duty shake concentrate. An average roof receives approximately 20 gallons of oil and 5 gallons of TWP. The treatment is mixed in one batch, sufficient to cover your entire roof to ensure an even color throughout the process. Our treatment unit has only one purpose and that is to apply an ample amount of treatment to your roof. (Paint or garden sprayers are incapable of providing the same results).
